Berkshire Fireplace Centre prides itself on offering impeccable customer service.
From the moment you walk into our showroom, you will be looked after by our friendly and knowledgable team who can answer any questions you have about design options or about any concerns you have about the chimney (or lack of one) in your home.
If you want us to install your fireplace we will first conduct a free home survey to ensure that the fire can be fitted safely. We cover areas within a 20 mile radius of Reading, including Newbury, Thatcham, Henley, Maidenhead, Wokingham, Bracknell, Ascot and Basingstoke.
We are happy to supply the fires and fireplaces for your own builders to install if they are confident of doing this or, alternatively, we can provide a comprehensive fitting service by extremely experienced and qualified engineers.
After sales service
Customers of Berkshire Fireplace Centre can be assured that the service and customer care does not end at the installation. There may be many other small services that we can offer. All gas & solid fuel appliances should be serviced annually. Although we don’t offer this service ourselves, we can put you in contact with one of our very experienced engineers.
Fireside Accessories – Berkshire Fireplace Centre have a wide range of companion sets, log baskets, fireguards and coal buckets on display in the showroom.
Wood Supplies – we can help with keeping you supplied in logs for your new stove. We have a full range of logs and kindling from a Hetas approved wood supplier guaranteeing that you will have kiln dried, efficient fuel for your fire throughout the winter.
Home Survey
The team at Berkshire Fireplace Centre try to make the process of buying a new fireplace as pleasurable and easy as possible. However as a fireplace is more than an item of furniture and requires installation according to strict safety regulations, it is important that the correct product is specified.
After you have made your choice from our vast selection of fires and surrounds, and if you would like us to install it for you, our next step will be to carry out a free home visit when our experienced surveyor will come out to your home and check that the fireplace is suitable for your chimney and at the same time can assess the work that will be involved in the installation. He will be able to give you a quote for the installation work and answer any questions that you may have regarding the installation process.
We can survey anywhere within a 20 mile radius of Reading, including Henley, Newbury, Thatcham, Bracknell, Wokingham, Maidenhead and Ascot and Basingstoke.
Installation Service
Fitting a gas or solid fuel fireplace is not a DIY job and must be undertaken by fully qualified and registered engineers.
All the engineers from Berkshire Fireplace Centre are fully qualified for the jobs they undertake and will provide you with the peace of mind that the installation has been done professionally and in accordance with safety standards.
Our team from the showroom will contact you when your fireplace has arrived and arrange a convenient date for installation. We take responsibility for the entire installation and will endeavour to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
When the job is completed, you will be provided with a certificate (Gas Safe for gas fires or HETAS for solid fuel) that confirms that all regulations have been complied with and you should keep this certificate in a safe place as you will be asked to produce it if you should ever decide to sell your property.
Our fitting service is available in all areas within a 20 mile radius of Reading including Henley, Newbury, Thatcham, Bracknell, Wokingham, Maidenhead and Ascot and Basingstoke.
We regret that we are unable to install fires and fireplaces that have not been purchased from the showroom.
